During a recent management trip to India, Mr. Martin Richenhagen, AGCO’s Chairman, President and CEO, made donations of $20,000 each to the Childs Trust Medical Research Foundation and the Sankara Nethralaya Program on behalf of AGCO Corporation. Both the Childs Trust Medical Research Foundation and the Sankara Nethralaya Program are based in Chennai, India and are also supported by Mallika Srinivasan, a member of AGCO’s Board of Directors and Chairman and CEO of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (“TAFE”). The Childs Trust Medical Research Foundation is a premier children’s health care institute in South India that emphasizes educational excellence and boundary-pushing research work. The Sankara Nethralaya Program works to deliver affordable world-class eye-care in India and this donation will be used to fund educational initiatives including the sponsorship of several students pursuing medical training through their academy. Martin Richenhagen explained, “We commend the commitment to improving the lives of those most in need.” AGCO strives to support the communities in which its operates and has had a collaborative relationship with TAFE for many years in support of the Massey Ferguson brand.
