The Fendt 1100 Vario MT is the strongest Vario of all times. The Fendt tracked tractor convinced the participants of the online voting for the "Farm Machine 2022" award in the category "Audience Choice Award".
The top model of the series, the Fendt 1167 Vario MT has the highest horsepower with a continuously variable transmission on the market. Another unique selling point of the series is the steerable drawbar or the steerable hitch for optimized directional stability. Flexible ballasting options for different applications can be found at the wheels, rear and front. More comfort and durability are offered by the SmartRide suspension, the optional SmartRide+ and the Fendt LongLife rollers.
"More than 10,000 votes were cast for this machine. That is a new record," says Carsten Matthäus, Publishing Division Manager for Agriculture & Forestry at dlv, impressed by the voting results.
The tracked tractor also impressed the jury. "The Fendt 1100 Vario MT has become a masterpiece," says Helmut Süß, editor for agricultural technology, energy at Bayerisches Landwirtschaftliches Wochenblatt and member of the jury. "This was an international collaboration and yet the Fendt genes are fully recognizable, according to the motto: Make something even better out of something good."
"The Fendt 1100 Vario MT combines punch and power. The Fendt Vario transmission and the innovative Fendt VarioDrive powertrain ensure comfortable and efficient work. Engineers from Jackson and Marktoberdorf worked closely together on the development. The tracked tractor was designed in the U.S., while the transmission and the operation system were developed in Marktoberdorf," explains Walter Wagner, Managing Director Research and Development AGCO/Fendt. "In the Audience Choice Award voting, participants determine which machine should win. In the first Corona year 2020, we presented the Fendt 1100 Vario MT series. Purely digitally, because there were no events or trade shows. The fact that this powerful tracked tractor won shows me that the participants focused on intelligent technology and impressive traction power."
About the "Farm Machine" award
The Farm Machine award (formerly Machine of the Year) has been presented since 1997. Normally the awards are held every two years at Agritechnica, but this year the trade show was cancelled. The 12 categories range from tractors to forage harvesting, tillage and logistics. Entries are open for new products launched after the last Agritechnica. The jury is made up of agricultural journalists from 14 different editorial departments.
