Georgia high school ag educators participated in Power Up Your Learning at AGCO’s Global Learning Center in Duluth, GA, on June 13, 2025. Teachers got hands-on opportunities to work with the company’s Fendt and Massey Ferguson tractors, as sessions connected foundational science concepts with real-world agricultural applications.
DULUTH, Ga. | June 24, 2025 | AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, hosted Power Up Your Learning, a full-day development workshop tailored for high school agriculture educators. Held on June 13, 2025, at AGCO’s Global Learning Center in Duluth, GA, the event was a collaboration with Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the Georgia Vocational Agricultural Teachers Association (GAVTA) that connected foundational science concepts with real-world agricultural applications.
Power Up Your Learning is part of AGCO’s larger effort to develop highly skilled technicians through immersive education in advanced ag technologies. By combining classroom instruction, paid apprenticeships and industry certifications, the program supports farmers’ success by encouraging today’s students to enter ag technician programs and equipping them for successful careers in the field.
The skills and insights teachers gained at the event will help them create meaningful lessons for students at local high schools. Sessions provided opportunities for attendees to work with Fendt® and Massey Ferguson® tractors that reinforced the critical role of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in today’s agricultural machinery. The curriculum featured STEM-focused topics, such as:
- Wired for Power: An in-depth exploration of circuit building and electrical diagnostics
- Gearing Up: A practical investigation into mechanical energy transfer and planetary gear systems
- Access to classroom-ready tools aligned with both Ag Education Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
